After three consecutive seasons as a calendar staple, Bermuda vanished without trace in Season 5. Now it's back, and the fleet will be looking forward to racing here again.

Bermuda’s Great Sound is as close to foiling heaven as SailGP gets – flat water, reliable breeze, and a racecourse that strips away any excuses. No ferries to dodge, no harbour chop to blame, no tricky geography bending the wind. Just pure boat speed and crew work, laid bare.

It’s the closest thing the circuit has to a test-track venue, which is fitting given its heritage. These waters hosted the 2017 America's Cup, back when the F50s were still called AC50s and the whole concept of foiling catamarans felt like science fiction. SailGP’s official line tends to ignore that connection, but the history is baked into the venue.

Following the early heavy-air run through Perth, Auckland and Sydney, Bermuda will offer a change of pace, along with a test of versatility. Teams that have thrived in strong breeze will need to demonstrate they can perform when the conditions ease.

Past winners: Great Britain (Season 2), Australia (Season 3), Spain (Season 4)
