Bottoms up! SailGP add three drinks brands to sponsor portfolio
SailGP fans in Halifax will be able to get their hands on a special memento this weekend thanks to a link up with the Propeller Brewing Company.
As the Official Craft Brewing Partner, Propeller have created a bespoke can design called Wind Shift to commemorate the event. The limited edition creation will be available over the weekend of June 20-21, and pays tribute to Halifax’s deep relationships with sailing and the sea.
The award-winning craft beer will be available on site during the event including within the Race Stadium, on George's Island and across event hospitality and grandstand areas.
Angel Demeester, Propeller Brewing Company’s graphic designer, said: “The idea behind Wind Shift was to translate the excitement of SailGP into something that you could hold in your hand. We wanted to convey speed, motion, and the ever-changing conditions that make both sailing and life on the East Coast so unique. By combining SailGP’s sophisticated racing aesthetic with visual nods to the excitement of both spectators and participants, we created a cohesive design that celebrates the energy of the event and the community hosting it.”
In more great news for fans of sailing and alcoholic beverages, Apres Provence have been announced as the official rosé sponsor of the SailGP race in Portsmouth. The event also marks the launch of SailGP’s VELA Beach Club, where pairing of the award-winning modern Provence rosé will blend with elevated view of the race action.
Tom Glanfield, Co-Founder and CEO at Après Provence, said: “We are delighted to be the official rosé sponsor of SailGP. SailGP and Après Provence share a passion for adventure, connection and making the most of every moment. Both brands exist at the intersection of performance and lifestyle, bringing people together through memorable experiences, whether that's on the water, in the mountains, at the beach, or around the table. We can’t wait to see supporters enjoying our rosé and creating unforgettable moments, from the first race to the final celebration.”
Non-drinkers (or designated drivers) can also get in on the fun too thanks to a deal with AB InBev for Corona Cero to be an official partner of the UK and Swiss regattas.
Jessica McGeorge-Stevens, Premium Global Brands Marketing Director, Europe, AB InBev at Corona said: “Corona Cero has a longstanding purpose of inspiring people to reconnect with nature, and partnering alongside SailGP offers a new and exciting way to reinforce this message. Through Corona Cero’s brand experiences and activations across the race weekends, we’re inviting people to disconnect from the everyday and celebrate SailGP's Golden Moments with a Corona Cero in hand.”
