Sky will broadcast the 38th America’s Cup, beginning with the first preliminary regatta taking place this weekend in Sardinia.

The all-in deal includes any other future prelim regattas, the Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Series and the America’s Cup Match itself, which is due to start from 10 July 2027 in Naples. The Women’s America’s Cup and Youth America’s Cup, both running in June next year, will also be covered as the jewel in sailing’s crown takes place in Italy for the first time.

“It is really encouraging to see the reaction of broadcasters around the world to the arrival of the America’s Cup in Italy,” said Grant Dalton, president of the America’s Cup Partnership. “It will be an exceptional regatta and a very important event for the beautiful city of Naples. Sky Italia does an incredible job in such a vast sports panorama and its involvement in the America’s Cup will contribute to enhancing the event throughout Italy.”

Sky’s Giuseppe De Bellis said: “The America’s Cup returns to the Sky Sports House and this time it does so by entering history: for the first time the most iconic trophy of world sailing arrives in Italy, in Naples.

“After the emotions of the 2021 and 2024 editions, we are proud to accompany the public in an event that combines innovation, show and great sports tradition. It will also be an opportunity to show the world the beauty and uniqueness of the Gulf of Naples.

“Sky will tell each challenge with the quality, enthusiasm and narrative ability that have always distinguished major events, bringing viewers into the wind, technology and adrenaline of a unique competition in the world.”

The coverage will be available direct from Sky and on streaming via Now.
