Martine Grael steps away from Brazil SailGP Team
Following a social media post on Martine Grael's personal Instagram account stating that she is "Officially unemployed!" an official statement from Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team later confirmed the fact.
Grael will not feature for the remainder of SailGP season six. Instead, strategist Paul Goodison will step into the driver's seat, and Brazilian Olympian Marina Arndt will take the strategist position vacated by Goodison's move.
The official statement from Mubadala Brazil's Instagram account said:
"New winds, the same passion for Brazil.
"Martine Grael has been with us since the creation of the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team and has played a fundamental role in building this story.
"Two years of hard work, challenges and achievements have left an important legacy for the project.
"For the final stages of the season, Paul Goodison will take the helm of the F50, while Marina Arndt will move into the Strategist position. Two experienced and talented professionals who are already part of our team.
"The project moves forward with the same purpose, ambition and commitment to taking Brazil to the highest level of sailing worldwide. We move forward together, building the future of the team.
"Thank you, Martine, for everything we have built together. We wish you fair winds in your next challenges.
"Fair winds to everyone!"
Mubadala Brazil currently sit last in the season championship on eight points, 13 points back from 12th placed Black Foils.
